Over the past couple years, Savanah’s art has prominently explored ideas of connection and love, and she is passionate about spreading these themes through her work. Savanah first collaborated with her sister, Alicia, while taking Iskra Print Collective’s screenprinting class, illustrating and printing poems Alicia had written. As children, they loved the surprise and joy of toy vending machines and wanted to bring that experience into their lives now. With this aspiration, they combined their passions of art and writing to create Love Notes: a vending machine containing short, illustrated poems/love notes for others to enjoy. They hope to elicit a sense of nostalgia and offer a fun, affordable way to obtain original art. They hope you can find a bit of joy in whichever note you vend to keep for yourself or to share with a loved one!
